I am spending the week in Kingston near Princeton to conduct research on piano pedagogy at the New School for Music Study. So far, it’s been quite an adventure – including a hotel fire alarm, a parking ticket, and plenty of GPS excitement. My days have been full of observations and discussions on teaching approaches and curriculum. I look forward to sorting through my notes and writing about this experience over the next few days.
