It's the most wonderful time of the year! Rehearsals are well underway, the annual Choir Christmas Party is being planned, and the sanctuary is fully decorated with wreaths, garlands, and candlelight.
But there's one item at the bottom of your to-do list you just can't seem to check off - "gifts for choir members". You want to show your choir that you appreciate them - their gifts of time and energy and support throughout the year - but you're at a loss as to what kind of gift would be thoughtful, affordable, and meaningful to all members.
That's where this post comes in.
I've put together a holiday gift guide with six unique, creative gift ideas specifically for choir members. From custom notepads to personalized Hersheys kisses, I hope this gives you a jumpstart on finding something everyone will love and appreciate.
Take a look!
SIX UNIQUE, CREATIVE GIFTS FOR CHOIR MEMBERS
01 | SING FOR JOY
A small lapel pin is a simple reminder of the joy we have in singing (I love this one with the word "joy" over a pair of eighth notes). Lapel pins can be pinned on a jacket or coat or added to a tote bag for year-long enjoyment. (christianbook.com, $1.50/ea)
02 | CUSTOM NOTEPAD
Everyone uses notepads, right? Whether you keep one on your desk for daily to-dos, on your nightstand for moments of midnight inspiration, or on the kitchen counter for groceries and Amazon orders, your choir members will love a custom notepad with an inspiring quote (e.g. "Sing for Joy!") or your choir's name and logo at the top. I love the custom notepads in this Etsy shop. (jubileedesignstudio.etsy.com, $10/ea). If you have the budget, add in a custom pencil, as well! I like these. (rowhouse14.etsy.com, $1.80/ea)
03 | HUGS & KISSES
Did you know you can customize Hersheys Kisses? Design your own stickers to go on the bottom of each candy, package a handful in a cellophane bag and - voila! Christmas gifts made easy. (whcandy.com, $6.99/108 stickers)
04 | DECK THE HALLS
Give your choir members a gift they will use every year! There are lots of custom ornament options out there (try searching on Etsy). Here are a few of my favorites: personalized music note ornament(personalizedornament.etsy.com, $8.95/ea) and eighth note glazed ornament(misspottery.etsy.com, $12/set of 2). If you're artistically-inclined, consider buying a few boxes of plain glass ornaments and painting them yourself!
05 | CUSTOM TOTE BAG
Use a simple phrase or quote about singing (make sure it's not copyrighted first!), or use your choir logo and name. Customize with a colored handle, if desired. Take a look at this site to get started. (greenmonsterpromos.com, $2.94/ea)
06 | HANDWRITTEN NOTE
Never underestimate the power of a handwritten note. Take some time this month to write each choir member a brief, but thoughtful note. (free!)
