2017 Book List

One of my favorite things about this time of year is reading everyone's book lists. I love seeing what other people are reading, hearing about new releases, and connecting with others over shared interests.

Over the past few years, I've built a little time for reading into my daily routine (usually in the evening as we wind down from the day).

As I've shared before, I like to have variety in what I read, so I tend to choose books that cover all of these categories:

Health/Lifestyle
Spiritual
Pleasure/Personal
Business

Here are the books I plan to read (or re-read) this year:
(*P.S. If you purchase through one of the links below, Amazon.com will pay me a small fee for referring you to them at no extra cost to you. Win-win!)

Present Over Perfect (Shauna Niequist) - I'm a huge fan of Shauna's writing and cannot wait to read her latest release! View on Amazon.

Chasing Slow (Erin Loechner) - I have loved reading Erin's blog over the past few years and was so excited to find out she was releasing her first book this year! I flipped through it when it arrived in the mail and it is beautiful! I love that it includes photographs, typography, and recipes. View on Amazon.

Let's All Be Brave (Annie F. Downs) - I heard Annie on a few podcasts last year and loved getting to know her a bit more. She has a great personality and perspective on life and I am looking forward to reading one of her books. View on Amazon.

Simplify (Bill Hybels) - I seem to put a book like this on my list every year, but I don't get tired of the message. The description begins with, "Exhausted. Overwhelmed. Overscheduled. Sound familiar?" I think we all can relate to that. View on Amazon.

Love Does (Bob Goff) - I read this book a few years ago when it first came out and loved it. If you haven't read it, it's a must-read. One of my top five book recommendations, for sure. I think it's time for a re-read. View on Amazon.

The Irrational Season (Madeleine L'Engle) - a reflection on the "seasons and spiritual rhythms" of the church year in the church and in the author's life. View on Amazon.

Liturgy of the Ordinary (Tish Harrison Warren) - a thoughtful look at the sacred in the ordinary and the ordinary in the sacred. "A practical theology of the everyday." View on Amazon.

Wild and Free (Hayley Morgan & Jess Connolly) - a message of hope and encouragement "for the woman who feels she is both too much and never enough." View on Amazon.

For the Love (Jen Hatmaker) - I read Jen's book "7" a few years ago and loved it. Love her writing style, humor, and perspective on life and faith. Looking forward to this fun, light-hearted read! View on Amazon.

My Life in France (Julia Child) -Julia Child describes her experiences in France in the 1940s - her struggles, triumphs, and adventures - in this beautiful memoir. View on Amazon.

Go-Givers Sell More (Bob Burg & John David Mann) - I read "The Go-Giver" a few years ago and loved it. Lots of practical principles for life and work. Looking forward to reading this sequel! View on Amazon.

18 Minutes (Peter Bregman) - a work/business read all about focusing, overcoming distraction, and getting to your best work (in 18 minutes!). View on Amazon.
